Terms & Conditions

• By registering with 'Off to Sea', you accept that 'Off to Sea' and its owners are acting only as a means by which its users can contact each other. No contract exists between 'Off to Sea' and its users, other than 'Off to Sea' maintaining user details.
  
  
• Membership is valid for one year from the date of registration with 'Off to Sea'. If you do not renew your Membership, your details will remain on our database for a further 3 months after which time they will be permanently deleted. If you wish to do so, you may permanently delete your details from our database at any time.
  
  
• 'Off to Sea' reserves the right to refuse or to terminate Membership. Membership is not transferable.
  
  
• Membership is open to all ages, however, skippers accepting crew below the age of 18 years should request written consent from parents or guardians.
  
  
• The 'Off to Sea' crewing and skipper listings are free to users and are intended for non-commercial use. We reserve the right to remove any listing found to be of a commercial nature which contravenes this policy.
  If you wish to place a listing of a commercial nature, email us.
  
  
• Details of skippers/crew registering with 'Off to Sea' will be maintained on the listings pages until such time as expiry of the date of availability, unless updated or deleted by the Member concerned.
  
  
• 'Off to Sea' accepts no responsibility for the accuracy of the information provided by its users, nor for the integrity of any user.
  
  
• 'Off to Sea' is not able to check the sea-worthiness or safety of vessels, equipment, or the qualifications of skippers/crew, and therefore, accepts no responsibility for these. We urge users to take all necessary action beforehand to ensure that skipper/crew requirements and suitability are assessed prior to departure.
  
  
• 'Off to Sea' accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage, death, accident or injury sustained as a result of contacts made, sailing undertaken, or moorings exchanged and used.
  
  
• 'Off to Sea' cannot guarantee that users of the skipper/crewing listings will find crew, or suitable crewing positions.
  
  
• 'Off to Sea' accepts no responsibility for the location and suitability of moorings listed by Members under the 'Swap-a-Mooring' scheme.
  
  
• It is the responsibility of each user to assure him/herself of the suitability and safety of any moorings used under the 'Swap-a-Mooring' scheme, and that all contractual issues have been taken into account before any use of a mooring takes place. Where required, advise the relevant body regarding someone else using your mooring.
  'Off to Sea' accepts no responsibility or liability for the exchange and use of moorings.
  
  
• Exact locations of moorings in the 'Swap-a-Mooring' scheme will not be provided. It is the responsibility of Members to provide specific details of the position of their mooring at the time of an agreement for exchange of a mooring.
  
  
• Members registered for 'Swap-a-Mooring' will remain listed until the end of their mooring's availability, or until they are deleted by the Member concerned.
  
  
• These Terms and Conditions may be changed at any time by 'Off to Sea'.
